Texas act NOW! 📢
In November, a federal court decided that Texas cannot use their redistricting maps for the 2026 midterms. The new maps would have given Republicans 30 of the state’s 38 congressional districts. At the time, Republicans had 25 of those seats. Given that redistricting is typically every decade, and that the last Texas redistricting happened in 2021, it’s fair to say this is not a normal attempt to redistrict maps in Texas.
Had the Supreme Court decided against the redistricting map, it would have gone a long way in getting the fair representation that Texans deserve. Unfortunately, the Supreme Court ruled that Texas could use their gerrymandered maps for the upcoming elections. Needless to say, this was both shocking and disheartening.
Here at Rideshare2Vote, we have witnessed more and more people getting out to the polls and waking up to the injustices of this administration! Our previous Substack on talked about this.
The redistricting will work to further silence the voice of the underrepresented, so NOW is the time to be as loud as we can. That means showing up, against all odds, and voting for the change you want to see. Let us be your vehicle to change.
Please share Rideshare2Vote’s mission with your loved ones. We are always looking for volunteers and even donors to continue our Rideshare2Vote services. Even if they do not want to do either, spreading the word will only expand our chances of increasing both our volunteer base and even our donor base. We thank you for being with us on this journey.
